Dr. Joy is a psychologist and the host of the very popular mental health podcast Therapy for Black Girls. She works to make mental health topics more relevant and accessible to our community, especially black women. She's on a mission to create the spaces where black women are comfortable with having a therapist so they can be seen, heard, and understood. in 2021 she also created the Holding Space Foundation to provide culturally responsive resources through training, community healing, and education.
