Capehart is a Pulitzer prize winning journalist with a BA in Political Science who writes about political and social issues.

(I am not trying to promote a tone of fragility into my community). This is a powerful perspective piece that I'm sure many will find comfort and strength in relating too. Your truth is your truth. Capehart talks about the precautions his mother instilled in him early on about how to maneuver a society that wasn't built to make him feel safe or comfortable.
